Last Tuesday’s election left me feeling civic-minded—and looking for something to do with that feeling. I’ve only ever lived in urban centers in reliably blue states, so it’s been easy to feel like my voice didn’t matter much: the outcome where I lived often seemed settled before I cast a ballot.
With Democrats taking the House and Senate, I felt that direct communication with my representatives in the House and Senate might be another way to make my views heard. I wanted to make doing that as easy as possible.
So I built Your Congress. Enter your ZIP code, find your lawmakers, and add them to your phone’s contacts. Their office numbers and links for sharing your views will be there when you need them.
